Megan Kelly-Sasso,

Owner of Yog-AHHH! York, SC, B.A., E-RYT 200, RYT500 and YACEP

Prior to beginning my yoga journey in my 40’s, I had always enjoyed being physically active but was discovering that I needed a change and an outlet for the stress I was experiencing at this time.

I attended my first class at the encouragement of my husband, Michael, and I was immediately hooked as it energized me physically while bringing a wonderful sense of calm, stress relief and mental focus.

As I experienced these changes, I quickly realized that I had a serious passion for the practice and it was that passion and a particularly strong desire to help others reconnect with their bodies that led me to seek training to become a Certified Yoga Instructor.

In 2017, I attended Prairie Yoga in Lisle, IL with Master Teacher Tricia Fiske, E-RYT, Level III ParaYoga Instructor, where I received my 200 hr. training certification. After which, I have also been very blessed to have had the opportunity to sit under the training of various instructors and guides such as Tias Little, Judith Lasater and Nicolai Bachmann. These amazing people have helped shape my instruction to be a blend of Hatha & various styles of Vinyasa yoga while also incorporating Restorative & Yin yoga in my classes. Using props and various pose modifications, I seek to create an atmosphere of accessibility and safety for my students of all ages and levels of physical ability.

My goal is to provide a wide variety of classes for students that are fun, creative, challenging and supportive, while keeping to the belief that my role is that of guide and facilitator helping each student listen to and honor the wisdom of their own body. I am passionate about helping others reconnect with their bodies, discover their inner fire, strength, compassion for themselves and others, and empowering them to discover their own passions and purposes.

In November 2018 I opened Yog-AHHH! Studio, the first and only yoga studio in the town of York, SC. Where to date we are still offering a Free community class each week to help this community have access to yoga regardless of the barriers they may face.

In response to the COVID-19 global pandemic, I launched in June 2020 the online component of our studio with AHHHome! Virtual Studio with live-streamed classes to serve the needs of our students, our community and beyond!

While recently completing my RYT500 hr. training through the Nexus Institute, with Janel Schullo and Horace Usry, I continue to be deeply committed to creating a safe space and yoga community at both Yog-AHHH! Studio and through AHHHome Virtual Yoga Studio that is welcoming, socially conscious, and that embraces and celebrates inclusivity, body positivity, community outreach, and working with underserved populations.
